Surprise last print before fanime.
Ended up going with a more simple coloring scheme to try and reflect the mood I was trying to portray.
Also, clouds are hard.
Yay, business cards. It was kinda frustrating figuring out some of the technical parts of getting everything aligned properly. But I figured it out, and now it’s a lot of fun to make these! Let my inner graphic artist out. Thank god I had random doodles sitting in my pictures folder to play with.
Tomoe Mami, with pistols, cause muskets take up too much space and are a nightmare to work with in terms of composition. Well… not THAT bad, but I wasn’t up to it I suppose.
I’m sure there’s a lot of things that I could’ve done better, as usual. But I sorta fell into my comfort zone, since I needed to get this done for Fanime next week.
Riela from Valkyria Chronicles 3.
Playing with the harsh contrasting. Wish I could preserve my light colors better, but there’s no undo button when working with markers. Came out decent, but not entirely as I had hoped for. Oh well.
Though it was very refreshing to be able to use all my favorite colors again without worrying about ink levels, now that I have a crap ton of refills at my disposal.
Some stuff I did in Irvine during SCR.
So my Copic markers have been dying over the past 9 months and I’ve had to get very creative with what colors to use in order to avoid heavy traffic on my typical favorites. In order to further help with the shortage on ink, I’ve been looking at the other mediums I have sitting around, namely this giant pack of Prisma markers I have. (Family friend thought they were doing me a favor when they bought me a 72 pack of these suckers.) I’m not quite use to the vivid, bold nature of the markers. Does anyone use Prisma markers and want to give me any suggestions on how to use them effectively?
